Cuentos Folkloricos

by Nilsa Mariano, the Taína Storyteller
with David Perez, conga

Nilsa Mariano tells cuentos folklóricos — multicultural folk tales from the Caribbean, where she was born, and from around the world.  She is the Taína Storyteller, descendent of the Taíno Indians of Puerto Rico.

Accompanied by the playful rhythms of conga player David Perez, Nilsa tells stories of animals that speak Spanish, legends of Taíno gods, and adventures and misadventures of foolish boys named Juan Bobo. Three performances only!
