VOLUNTEER

USHERING

Want to get involved at the Kitchen and see shows for free? Ushering for the Kitchen is a fun, free way to get involved and fill an important role.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO CAN:

  • distribute programs

  • will be comfortable using ticket scanners

  • are comfortable directing patrons

  • demonstrate a warm, welcoming and personable attitude

  • redirect patrons entering too early or from getting lost around theater

MUST BE ABLE TO:

  • arrive at least 45 minutes before your designated show time

  • stay after the show to make sure that the theater is clean and cleared out

​

OTHER INFORMATION ABOUT BEING AN USHER:

  • Shifts are shared through SignUpGenius.com.

  • You are able to make adjustments, or sign up for additional shifts, as desired, through the site.

  • Email alerts inform you of new sign-up opportunities in our Kitchen Sink series, and of other special events.

The Kitchen Theatre Company would not be able to present the first-class theatre you see on stage without the help, generosity, and dedication of our talented volunteers.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO CAN:

  • distribute posters and brochures

  • participate in newsletter mailings

  • help build sets and hang lights

  • deepen our community engagement by acting as institutional ambassadors
