She looks forward to another season at the Glimmerglass Festival this summer, performing in Candide (Dance Captain) and Rinaldo (Dancer). A recent graduate of Ithaca College, she is based in NYC, where she continues to work on independent choreographic projects which have been performed at the Gibney Center.

Aimee Rials received her Master's of Fine Arts in dance from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Most recently she was a 2022 recipient of the Choreographers Initiative award through NYS DanceForce and NY Council on the Arts. Her choreographic work has been performed at the Gibney Center, 92Y’s Harkness Dance Center, Symphony Space, Dixon Place, Triskelion Arts, Merce Cunningham Studio, DUMBO Dance Festival, Cool New York Dance Festival, Washington University’s Edison Theater, Ithaca College, Huntingdon College, and the Depot Theater. Rachel Lampert is known in Ithaca as the Artistic Director Emerita at Kitchen Theatre Company where she led the company for twenty years from 1997-2017. Her first career was as a dancer/choreographer who led her company Rachel Lampert & Dancers from 1975 to 1992. During the two isolating years of the pandemic, she wrote a memoir of those seventeen years. The working title is “My Dancing Daze.” In her memoir she revisits her younger self, her choices, their consequences and what it means to make a life in the arts from her current perspective. For this event she will read excerpts from the memoir with some theatrical embellishments.
