To celebrate our 35th season, we’re cooking with fire.

The Kitchen is serving up five vital, moving, boundary-pushing plays in our 2025/2026 season:

Bad Books by Sharyn Rothstein, directed by Emily Jackson (Sep 3-21): In this blistering dark dramedy, a mother declares war against her local library, setting off a chain reaction of unforeseen and unimaginable consequences.

King James by Rajiv Joseph, directed by Margarett Perry (Oct 15-Nov 2): A thoughtful buddy comedy that asks what it means to be a friend, to be a fan, and whether any relationship can survive the ultimate betrayal: LeBron leaving Cleveland.

Reindeer Sessions by Eric Ulloa, directed by Rachel Lampert (Dec 3-14): Local favorite Karl Gregory stars as Blitzen: a hard-drinking, belligerent reindeer ready to blow the roof off the Kringle-industrial complex. A hilariously unhinged new holiday classic that will also serve as our holiday party.

Milkweed by Wendy Dann (Feb 25-Mar 15): This poetic world premiere explores the complicated, tender act of teaching and will exquisitely unravel your understanding of time and space.

FEAST. by Megan Gogerty (May 6-24): A gripping reimagining of Beowulf from a female perspective, this visceral, tour-de-force solo performance fever dream grapples with grief, power, and justice.

In addition to the mainstage productions, you’re also invited to join in a slate of pre- and post-show talks, Kitchen Sink productions, and family programming.
