Subscriptions and ticket sales cover just a fraction of what it takes to run a professional theatre. The rest comes from people who believe in this work.
Last season 444 donors gave in gifts from a few dollars added at checkout to gifts large enough to change what we could plan for. WAYS TO GIVE
The Annual Fund
An unrestricted gift is the most useful thing you can give us.
It goes wherever it's needed: it pays artists, keeps the building open, and covers the ordinary daily cost of making five plays a year in this room. It's the first thing we ask for, and it's almost always what we mean when we say we need your support.
There's no minimum, and there never has been.
Become a Monthly Sustainer
Giving monthly is easy, convenient, and provides a predictable base of support that lets us plan ahead. A recurring gift, even a small one, is the steadiest kind of support there is.

Other Ways to Give
Employer Matching Funds
A lot of people don't know their employer matches charitable gifts. One question to your HR office can make your gift go twice as far. Check with your employer to see whether matching funds are available to you.
Donor-Advised Funds
If your banking or investment institution offers a Donor-Advised Fund, it's an easy, tax-free way to support the Kitchen. KTC currently receives DAF gifts through the Community Foundation of Tompkins County, Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, Tompkins Charitable Trust, and Vanguard Charitable.
Gifts of Stock
Making charitable gifts of individual stock or mutual fund shares supports Kitchen Theatre Company while avoiding costly capital gains taxes. Our broker can transfer your stocks, proceeds of stock sales, or mutual fund shares securely and painlessly.
In-Kind Products and Services
Do you like to give outside the box? There are meaningful ways to give that don't require writing a check. Refreshments for an event. Health and wellness services for our staff and visiting artists. We'd like to hear your idea.

The Artistic Director's Excellency Fund (ADEF)
Supporters of the Artistic Director's Excellence Fund are invested in making sure every production at Kitchen Theatre Company is of the highest possible quality. ADEF gifts have paid for design and access enhancements that go beyond what a production budget can carry.
Gifts to the Artistic Director's Excellence Fund are separate from the Annual Fund. You can become a member with a gift of $2,500 or more
The Dewey/Goetz Fund for Design & Production
Named in memory and honor of Martha Dewey by her husband Kent Goetz, this fund supports enhancements to design and production beyond Kitchen Theatre Company's annual budget.
