Maytag Virgin Holiday Party Preview!
Somehow, the holidays are nearly upon us. If only there was a way to be festive, share a few laughs with friends and loved ones, indulge in delicious food and drink, AND be entertained, all with minimal planning during these hectic months.
Oh, friends, you are in luck! KTC's holiday play/holiday party combo returns in 2026, and you won't want to miss it!
In case you've never attended a KTC party before, let us walk you through the festivities:
6:30 pm: You walk into the Kitchen lobby, which sparkles with thoughtful holiday touches. The scent of delicious Mama Said Hand Pies fill your senses, and you snag a savory Potato and Cheddar pie as you sidle up to the bar.
Now... do you grab your favorite beer from Liquid State, or stop by our holiday cocoa bar? Everything's included in your ticket price, so why not both?
6:45 pm: The lobby is now full of delighted patrons, tucking into savory treats. You spot your next door neighbors, your coworkers, and chat with some new friends. Everyone is feeling the holiday spirit!
7 pm: The show begins. Audrey Cefaly's Maytag Virgin is funny, sweet, surprising. Spiked cocoa for the soul, if you will. Characters Jack and Lizzy feel close to home in the best way. You laugh, you sigh, you're totally transported and temporarily forget about the the gastronomic delights awaiting in the lobby.
8 pm: Intermission. Desserts are out, spirits are high. Folks are chatting about their hopes and dreams for the characters in the play, you grab another beverage an indulgent nibble of dessert. Once again, all the food and drink is included with the price of your ticket, so you feel free to pick up a few treats. The room echoes with laughter, and you have trouble deciding whether your holiday spirit is being fueled by the sweets, or the sweetness on stage.
8:15 pm: Back to your seats to see how the story ends. We can promise this one wraps up in a way that will please even the Scroogiest of theatregoers.
9 pm: You wipe a few happy tears, hug your date, and head back into the lobby. Maybe if you grab a final drink, you'll have a chance to toast this utterly delightful holiday celebration with the cast and creative team!
You've had a blast, and from here you can choose your own adventure: do you keep the party going at Liquid State? Or is your heart's desire to be tucked away in bed by 10, visions of sugar plums dancing in your head? Either way, this holiday party has been one for the books.
